Pride in Prose: A Virtual Retreat for LGBTQ+ Romance Authors/Professionals is a dynamic 3-day online event created to celebrate and support the vibrant, diverse professional community behind LGBTQ+ romance. Taking place February 6–8, 2026, this retreat is designed to offer valuable insights into the market, readers, and craft—while fostering connection and collaboration among authors and professionals who share a passion for authentic, inclusive storytelling. Whether you're a new or aspiring writer, an established author with multiple titles, or a professional working within the genre, Pride in Prose offers tailored workshops, expert panels (including a special audiobook narrators panel), and networking sessions that speak directly to your experience in the genre. Created by and for LGBTQ+ creatives, this retreat fills a much-needed gap in the literary world—because our stories, voices, and journeys matter. Join us and be part of a welcoming space where your work and identity are celebrated.
This virtual retreat will be delivered via Zoom webinar and can accommodate up to 500 participants. You must register to attend.
This retreat will be a recurring biennial event to help LGBTQ+ romance authors and professionals stay abreast of the latest issues and developments in the genre and the ever evolving business-side of our indie industry.
This retreat is designed for authors, aspiring authors, and other professionals working in LGBTQ+ romance. It is not an event aimed at readers. It will be delivered via a Zoom webinar.
Registered participants are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as they’d like—whatever fits your schedule. All main sessions will be recorded and made available for later viewing, so you won’t miss out if you can’t join in real time. Please note that breakout rooms, when used, will not be recorded as Zoom does not support recording in those spaces.
This retreat is inclusive toward all identities and backgrounds. We do not tolerate hate speech, bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind. Our goal is to foster a respectful, supportive community where everyone feels safe to learn, share, and connect.
